Best burger in town..

Great service, one minute from my house and a fantastic grilled chicken sandwich...

We were camping at James River State Park and went to The Filling Station twice for dinner. The handmade burgers were to die for!! Pulled pork was tender and succulent and fried pickles did not disappoint either. We'll definitely hit the place again when we're back in the area 😊👍🏻👏🏻

Love this place! Best burgers in Amherst. Make sure you get Old Bay on your fries and ask for the special sauce that comes with the onion rings. It's crack.

One of the best places to eat in Amherst! If you are low-carb’ing, they have delicious wings, bunless burgers, and pork rinds! Hot dogs and onion rings are good too. They have a great variety of local beer on tap...as well as an after work/during the week happy hour. I think it’s $1 off draft beer? The craft beer selection for the Mix a Six is good, even if it might be a dollar or two higher than other places. The ladies that work here are so sweet too! I have never been disappointed at the Filling Station!

Great place to get a homemade hamburger and other foods that you like, AND they have ethanol-free gas for my motorcycle and small engine items! I was glad to find this place! It's right at the circle in the town of Amherst!

Pan seared burgers, seasoned fries, and fully loaded hot dogs are my favorites. I've heard good things about the barbecue and homemade pork rinds, too.

Fantastic onion rings and an amazing double cheeseburger! This is not fast food "quality" though, so don't expect fast food prices. 3 double cheeseburgers, a small order of plain fries, a small order of onion rings, and 3 bottles of Coke came out to $35.65. Just FYI. We were starving, and I grumbled a bit to myself about the price while we waited for our food. Then we started eating it, and I was like, "Well, all right then." 😂

The Filling Station is not only a gas station, but is also a restaurant! Located right next to the Marathon gas station, this restaurant is convenient and easy to see from a mile away. Their menu offers classic American dishes such as beer and hamburgers, but the REAL gem is their potato chips, made on the spot. The chips have options of Old Bay, Siracha, etc. You get a lot of chips for just a few dollars and is better than any Lay's chip you'll ever buy. 10/10.

Stopped in for some burgers and wings after a baseball game. Service was friendly and fast. Unique atmosphere of a converted 1950's style gas station to a trendy styled pub. Reasonable prices and quality ingredients. I had a double cheese burger with grilled onions, seasoned fries, and fried pickles. Had a basket of hot wings for the table that were crispy and delicious. Plenty of beers on tap. Definitely worth checking it out.

Took my son to The Filling Station in Amherst yesterday. We went early before the dinner rush and was glad because it can become packed. He got a chili cheese hot dog, I got a double cheese burger with bacon, and we split a basket of fries. We both really enjoyed the food and service was great. After Sids is Mad Hts closes well probably be visiting The Filling Station more often.

Good burgers, fresh meat and produce. Their home made chips are always great. 12 beers on tap and a cooler full of a lot of others. Nice place on the inside, very pleasant staff and management. They sell and refill growlers too. Plenty of parking in the side lot.

I live in lynchburg, but everytime I drive out to Charlottesville, my wife and I have to stop into the filling station, great little diner with a down home feel. Awesome burger and fries pickles.

If you are in the Town of Amherst, great place for a Burger and Beer. Other great food on the menu as well as a wide selection of Craft Beers.

What a unique concept! A gas station pub that does not disappoint. They have wonderful food, great service, and a beer list that'll put any restaurant to shame.Located less than a minute from the bypass, if you happen to find yourself passing through, you owe it to yourself to check out this small unassuming local treasure!
